Apple’s TestFlight platform now allows iOS and tvOS developers to invite up to 2,000 users to beta test their apps. That’s twice as many as the company previously allowed.

Apple announced at the Worldwide Developers Conference back in June that it would be increasing the TestFlight tester limit from 1,000 to 2,000, but the company left developers waiting for the change. Now it has finally activated the new limit.

“Now you can invite up to 2,000 users to beta test your iOS and tvOS apps before you release them on the App Store,” the company explains. “TestFlight makes it simple to invite testers using just their email address and lets testers easily provide valuable feedback within the TestFlight app.”

Apple has also increased beta build time from 30 days to 60 days, so developers don’t have to rollout beta updates as frequently to ensure they remain active.
