The iOS 9.3.4 update released by Apple just a few weeks ago patched the Pangu jailbreak for iOS 9.3.3. Up until now, it was possible to downgrade from iOS 9.3.4 back to iOS 9.3.3 but Apple has now closed the signing window for iOS 9.3.3, which means that it’s no longer possible to downgrade or even upgrade to that firmware.
Along with iOS 9.3.3, the signing window for iOS 9.3.2 has also been closed. This means that if you upgrade to iOS 9.3.4, there’s no way that you can go back to older versions. Therefore, jailbreakers must be careful with the tweaks that they install as unstable ones can cause serious problems and even force your device into a bootloop which may require you to update to the latest iOS firmware and eventually lose your jailbreak.
Apple usually leaves a 2-3 weeks gap between the time the new iOS firmware is released and the time the old one stops being signed.
As iOS 9.3.4 patches the exploits used by the new Pangu jailbreak, if you update your device to that firmware then you will lose the ability to jailbreak. The same applies to users who have already jailbroken their devices. This is why you should now be careful if you don’t want to lose your jailbreak.
Currently, there’s no news of a legit jailbreak for iOS 9.3.4 apart from Luca Todesco teasing about one, which may never be released to the public. Pangu and other hackers will eventually hold off from releasing a new jailbreak tool until iOS 10 is released in September.
