Following a series of beta seeds, Apple has released the latest version of iOS to the public.
Apple has officially released iOS 10.2.1 to the public. The public release is the same as the beta releases, as far as content. It’s a minor upgrade, following the public release of iOS 10.2 back in the middle of December. This new software is meant to address any lingering software issues and bugs, as well as boost performance.
To install the new software, iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone owners can head into Settings –> General –> Software Update and then follow the on-screen instructions.
The latest iOS release does not come with any major user-facing changes and mostly packs under the hood bug fixes.
Do note that if you are waiting for the upcoming iOS 10.2 jailbreak, you should not upgrade to iOS 10.2.1 and save the blobs as well.
