iOS 11 is packed with lots of interesting features, including an all-new App Store and Control Center, a native screen recorder, customizable Control Center, and much more.
The first beta of iOS 11 has already been released to developers, whereas the public version is expected to be released later this year in Fall. We previously showed a workaround for installing iOS 11 without a developer account, but if you’re not willing to take the risks and prefer to stay on iOS 10, then the good news is that you can get some of the iOS 11 features on your iOS 10 device right now.
There’s only one catch: you need to have a jailbroken device. A lot of the features in iOS 11 have been inspired by jailbreak tweaks, and if you own a jailbroken iOS device, you can easily get these features on your iOS 10 device right.
We are still waiting for an iOS 10.3.2 jailbreak. But you can jailbreak iPhone or iPad on iOS 10 – iOS 10.2 using Yalu jailbreak.
How to Get iOS 11 Features on iOS 10
Without further ado, here are the jailbreak tweaks that will help you get some of our favorite iOS 11 features on your iPhone running iOS 10.
One-Handed Keyboard
The large screen size of iPhone has made it difficult to type with a single hand so iOS 11 solves this problem by introducing a one-handed keyboard mode. If you’re jailbroken, you can get this feature on iOS 10 with a jailbreak tweak known as OneHanded.
Screen Recording
iOS 11 comes with a native screen recorder that can be invoked right from Control Center. This is very similar to a jailbreak tweak known as CCRecord that has been built for iOS 10. There are also third-party screen recording apps, such as AirShou and EveryCord, which you can install without jailbreak. The latter is a more extensive screen recording app that offers live broadcast functionality as well. You can install it by sideloading with Cydia Impactor.
Move Home Screen Apps in Bulk
iOS 11 brings one of the most requested features to iOS, the ability to move multiple apps at once. Jailbreak users have been enjoying this feature for a long time with the use of a tweak known as MultiIconMover. This tweak allows you to move multiple apps between Home screen pages as well as move apps in and out of folders.
Dark Mode
The closest thing to dark mode in iOS 11 is ‘Smart Invert’, but it doesn’t work quite well in certain apps such as Instagram. If you wish to get a fully-working dark mode feature in iOS 10, then you should definitely check out Eclipse. It works with almost every app from the App Store and offers a bunch of customization options as well.
Slim Volume HUD
One of the least favored parts of iOS is the stock volume HUD which is intrusive. In iOS 11, a slimmer volume HUD is displayed when you’re watching a full-screen video. You can get a similar thing in iOS 10 by using a tweak known as Sonus which displays the volume in Status bar.
Customizable Control Center
Customizing the Control Center is a new thing in iOS 11, but jailbreak users have been enjoying this capability for a long time. You can use a combination of different jailbreak tweaks to customize Control Center. FlipControlCenter is a tweak that allows you to add more toggles to Control Center, whereas CCHide, Polus, and Onizuka are tweaks that let you customize the look of Control Center.
File Manager
iOS 11 comes with a file management app called ‘Files’ that lets you manage files on your local drive, iCloud drive, and third-party cloud services. If you’re jailbroken on iOS 10, you can use iFile, which is a more extensive file management tweak that provides access to system files and supports almost all file types.
