H3lix Jailbreak

As promised, Developer and Hacker tihmstar has released the H3lix jailbreak, the iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak for 32-bit devices on Christmas eve.

tihmstar has cautioned that he has tested the H3lix jailbreak only on iPhone 5,2 running iOS 10.3.3, but it should work on other compatible 32-bit iOS devices like iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPad 4th generation. It also means that these iOS devices can be jailbroken for life since iOS 10.3.3 was the final release supported for these iOS devices.

The H3lix jailbreak is a semi-tethered jailbreak based on the Siguza’s v0rtex exploit. You can download the jailbreak by sideloading it with Cydia Impactor. This means that you will have to sideload the jailbreak IPA on your iOS device and then resign and resideload after 7 days if you’re using the free Apple Developer account. If you have enrolled for the full developer account, then you won’t have to resideload and resign the jailbreak IPA for up to a year.

Please note that since this is the first release, we would recommend proceeding with caution. We have already seen several reports of users successfully jailbreaking their iPhone 5 and iPhone 5c running iOS 10.3.3. Some users have reported issues while trying to jailbreak iOS 10.3.1, so you may want to upgrade to iOS 10.3.3 before using the H3lix jailbreak.

You can download the first release candidate of H3lix iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak from the official website.

This is the perfect Christmas gift for users of iPhone 5, iPhone 5C and iPad 4th generation. We’ll publish a step-by-step guide as soon as possible. If you give it a shot then let us know how it goes in the comments.

Update:

tihmstar has released H3lix iOS 10.3.3 jailbreak release candidate 2 (RC2) to fix the Javascript bug, so if you were facing it, you can try the updated version.

Merry Christmas!
