Over the past couple of months, Apple has taken some swift measures to make sure that you’re not bombarded by app review popups all the time. In iOS 10.3, Apple started asking developers to use their own official pop-up for asking for reviews. And they set some strict guidelines on how often an app was allowed to do that. Now, in iOS 11, Apple is letting users opt out of the entire process.
Plus, it’s now mandatory for developers to use Apple’s own API for review and rating popups.
If you don’t want to see a popup for rating and reviewing an app ever again (at least the official Apple one, just turn off a toggle in Settings and enjoy the peace of mind.
How to Disable the App Rating Popup
Step 1: Open the Settings app.
Step 2: Go to iTunes & App Store section.
Step 3: Turn off the In-App Ratings & Reviews toggle.
That’s it, you won’t see these new review popups anytime soon.
App Store’s Also Easier to Use
It’s not just the in-app experience that Apple is improving. The entire App Store is new and improved. From the new Today section for discovering new apps to a dedicated new section for games.
