How to Install iOS 11 Beta for Free Without Developer Account

Apple unveiled iOS 11 at its opening WWDC 2017 keynote today. In typical Apple fashion, Apple released the first developer preview of the OS for developers to try out the OS on their iPhone or iPad as well.

While the first iOS 11 developer preview will have stability issues, it is still worth a try just due to the sheer number of features that the OS comes with. If you are bummed about not having a developer account to be able to install iOS 11 on your iPhone or iPad, worry not as there is a simple hack through which you can get developer beta on your device right away. Even better, the steps don’t require you to have access to your PC and can be all done on your iPhone or iPad itself. Here’s how:

Step 1: On your iOS device, head over on this link. [Note: The link will take you to an ad page. You will need to click on the Skip ad to download the iOS beta software profile. We will update the post if we can get an alternative link.]

Step 2: You will be automatically redirected to ‘iOS Beta Software Profile’  from where you will have to tap on Install three times and select the reboot option.

Step 3: Once your iPhone or iPad has rebooted, head over to Settings -> General -> Software update and the iOS 11 developer beta OTA should be available as a download on your device. If the update does not show up, wait for a few minutes and try again. If that still does not work, make sure to restart your iPhone or iPad again.

After the OTA is downloaded, install it like you would install any other iOS update.

Remember that the first iOS 11 developer beta will be filled with bugs and have stability issues. However, if you continue to stick to it, you will automatically receive future iOS beta releases from Apple as well.

If you do end up installing iOS 11 on your iPhone or iPad, do drop a comment and let us know whether you are liking the new features in the OS or not.

Update: If you are looking to install iOS 12 developer beta on your iPhone or iPad, follow the steps in this guide.
