Jailbreak iOS 10

Apple stopped signing iOS 10.1.1 and iOS 10.1 firmware files yesterday, which meant that users won’t be able to downgrade or upgrade to iOS 10.1.1.

This meant that users who had upgraded to iOS 10.2, wouldn’t be able to use the upcoming iOS 10.1.1 jailbreak from well-known hacker and security researcher Luca Todesco.

But you may not need to downgrade to iOS 10.1.1 to jailbreak your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. Security researcher and hacker Stefan Esser aka i0n1c has revealed that someone is planning to release the iOS 10.2 jailbreak.

It is great news considering Todesco’s comment which suggested that Apple has made it even more difficult to jailbreak iOS 10.2 by patching several jailbreak vulnerabilities.

i0n1c has said that he is not involved in the iOS 101.1 or iOS 10.2 jailbreak, and hasn’t provided any further details. It is not clear who is planning to release the jailbreak. But I am guessing it is probably the Pangu Jailbreak or Taig Jailbreak team who are planning to release the iOS 10.2 jailbreak.

Let us hope that it is released soon as people seem to be losing patience.

A big shout out to Dan for tip!

Update:
