Apps not working as intended or straight out crashing isn’t completely surprising as a lot of APIs undergo changes, especially in major OS releases. This is why Apple has an extended beta testing period where developers are expected to test their apps against the newest release, and fix issues, if any, before iOS 8 is publicly released.
