iOS 8 is the biggest release for Apple’s mobile operating system since the launch of the App Store, and accordingly there are quite a few new features to go along with it. In June, Apple announced widgets within the Notification Center, and now that iOS 8 is available for the masses, the apps that support the functionality are readily available and ready for users to dig into them.
Below, you’ll find a long list of applications that are known to support the iOS 8 widget feature right now, with more apps being added as the day goes on. Many of the apps have been available within the App Store for some time, including Yahoo! Weather and Duolingo, but they have recently been updated to support widgets.
Clear
With Clear, your upcoming to-do items will be listed in your Notification Center, based on where you’ve assorted your new widgets, making it possible for you to see what needs to be done without having to open the app directly.

Dropbox
With the new widget for Dropbox, you can open files directly from other apps, or see what you’ve recently uploaded to your cloud storage option. You can also easily save files to Dropbox.

Duolingo
With the popular language learning app, you’ll find your language coach (the happy looking owl) letting you know what you need to do to accomplish a specific goal, or just remind you to get back into the classroom.

NYT Now
With the New York Times Now app, you can get a brief rundown of information and images from the morning’s headlines.
It’s available for free in the App Store.
