Apple has announced that it will be releasing iOS 8 update on Wednesday, September 17th.
So jailbreakers if you want to jailbreak your device, then it is your last chance to update to iOS 7.1.2, and jailbreak it using the Pangu jailbreak.
Apple will stop signing iOS 7.1.2 immediately after releasing iOS 8 to prevent users from downgrade back to iOS 7.1.2. So you won’t be able to downgrade back to iOS 7.1.2, and jailbreak it using Pangu. You will need to wait for the jailbreak community to release a jailbreak for iOS 8.
It remains to be seen if Apple will patch the exploit used by the Pangu jailbreak. Evad3rs and the Pangu team have been surprisingly quite about the iOS 8 jailbreak. So it is anybody’s guess how long it will take for them to release an iOS 8 jailbreak.
Last year, evasi0n7, the first iOS 7 jailbreak, was released at the end of the year, more than three months after iOS 7 was released.
