Apple has just released iOS 9.0.2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch with a number of bug fixes.
iOS 9.0.2 comes just a week after iOS 9.0.1 was released to the public.
iOS 9.0.1 fixed the issue where some users were getting stuck at the “Slide to Upgrade” screen while updating to iOS 9, which was quite tricky to resolve in certain cases without losing data. It also fixes an annoying issue where the alarm and timers failed to play for some users after upgrading to iOS 9.
According to the release notes, iOS 9.0.2 includes the following bug fixes and improvements:
– Fixes an issue with the setting to turn on or off app cellular data usage
– Resolves an issue that prevented iMessage activation for some users
– Resolves an issue where an iCloud backup could be interrupted after starting a manual backup
– Fixes an issue where the screen could incorrectly rotate when receiving notifications
– Improves the stability of Podcasts
If you have jailbroken your iOS device and cannot live without your favorite jailbreak apps and tweaks then it is recommended that you avoid updating to iOS 9 or later, until a jailbreak for iOS 9 is released.
iOS 9.0.2 is compatible with the following iOS devices and is available as a free upgrade:
- iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4s
- iPad Air 2, iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 and iPad 2

iOS 9.0.2 is available to users via OTA update.

Update 2
iOS 9.0.2 fixes the lock screen security flaw that was introduced in iOS 9, which allowed anyone to bypass passcode to access Photos and Contacts. From iOS 9.0.2 security notes:
Impact: A person with physical access to an iOS device may be able to access photos and contacts from the lock screen
Description: A lock screen issue allowed access to photos and contacts on a locked device. This issue was addressed by restricting options offered on a locked device.
