Apple introduced the 6th generation iPod touch yesterday, which comes with Apple’s A8 chip, 1GB RAM, and 8-megapixel camera.
Since it is powered by the same A8 processor that powers iPhone 6, and iPhone 6 Plus, we expected it to be jailbroken using the TaiG jailbreak and PP jailbreak tools for iOS 8.4 as they are not based on bootrom exploits (hardware exploits).
The good news is that as expected, iPod touch 6g which comes preinstalled with iOS 8.4 can be jailbroken. Jeff Benjamin of iDownloadBlog has successfully jailbroken it using the PP jailbreak tool for Mac. We are confident that it can be jailbroken using TaiG jailbreak tool for Windows as well.
