The Mail app in iOS 8 includes a number of time saving features.
In this article, we show you how to quickly delete or archive an email in the Mail app in iOS 8.
How to quickly delete or archive an email
In iOS 7, if you want to delete or archive an email, you had to swipe left on the email and then tap on the Trash or Archive option.
iOS 8 makes it much easier with the new quick delete feature. You can now swipe all the way across to the left to delete the email.
Note that Archive or the Delete option depends on the email service. For example, in services like iCloud swiping all the way across to the left will delete the email, and services like Gmail, it will archive the email. You can change this settings in the Settings app for Gmail if you want to move discarded messages to the deleted mailbox (Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendar > [Account name] > Account > Advanced – Deleted Mailbox/Archived Mailbox under Move Discarded Messages Into: section).
As always, let us know how it goes in the comments.
