Let’s face it, emojis are just a part of our vocabulary now. They’re both kind of their own language and they also compliment our daily conversations, making them fun and exciting. If you love emojis, you’re going to love the new emoji replacement feature in Messages app in iOS 10.
If you’re the kind of person who’d like to use more emojis but don’t because swiping through 1000 emojis to find a perfect one is too much work, well, you’re going to love the new emoji replacement feature in Messages app.
The system is very simple. The words in a message that can be replaced with an emoji are displayed in Yellow and you can tap it to switch them to an emoji.
How To Replace Words With Emojis in Messages App
Go to the Messages app, pick a conversation and start writing your message.
Once you’ve written your text, hit the “Globe” icon in the keyboard to switch to the Emoji keyboard (if you have multiple keyboards installed, long press on the Globe icon and select “Emoji”).
As soon as you do that, you’ll see that some words in the sentence will be highlighted in yellow (if the sentence contains words that can be replaced with emojis).
Tap a word and you’ll see a popup showing all the emojis you can replace with this word. Tap one and it will be replaced in the message.
If a word can be replaced with only 1 emojis (for example, “Thanks” or “Coffee”), the emoji will be replaced by the word as soon as you tap it.
Yup, it’s as simple as that.
