Last month Google released the YouTube Capture app for the iPhone, which gave us an even faster and easier way to record, edit, and post videos to YouTube.

Google has just released the first update for the app to address one of annoying limitations of the app.

The maximum upload quality in the initial version was limited to 720p HD videos. Google has addressed this, by adding full HD support to the app.

YouTube Capture 1.1 also comes with improved audio synchronisation and allows you to share the video on social networks after uploading.

Google says that the update also includes some bug fixes and stability improvements.

Google has also released an update for Currents – the Flipboard competitor, which creates a personalized social magazine for users by aggregating links shared by their friends and followers on social networks like Facebook and Twitter. Here’s the change log:

  • Edition sidebar – quickly access your editions within categories such as business, sports, etc.
  • Fast scan – Vertical swipe to scan an edition, horizontal swipe advances to next edition
  • Breaking stories – ranked by Google News. Links to full length content.
