With the AirPods Pro going on sale tomorrow, the first batch of impressions, reviews, and unboxing videos have hit the internet. The unboxing videos give a closer look at the new AirPods Pro and the charging case.

Compared to the regular AirPods, the charging case of the AirPods Pro is slightly wider. The minor design differences between the AirPods and the AirPods Pro are clear enough that most users will be able to distinguish between the two easily. This is primarily due to the air vents on the AirPods Pro which is meant to equalize pressure.

Apple is also bundling three different types of silicone tips with the AirPods Pro. What’s interesting is that Apple is also offering an Ear Tip Fit test that will help one find the right ear tip size for them for optimum noise cancellation and best sound quality.

The unboxing videos also confirm that Apple is bundling a USB-C to Lightning cable with the AirPods Pro instead of a USB-A to Lightning cable like it does with regular AirPods.

First impressions on sound quality are slim, though most reviewers came away impressed with active noise cancellation and the new Transparency mode. They did note that the sound signature put an emphasis on bass. Overall though, sound quality is noticeably better than the regular AirPods. The in-ear fit and noise isolation are also better than the cheaper AirPods.

The new AirPods Pro retail for $249. They feature active noise cancellation, superior sound quality, sweat-resistant IPX4 design, and a battery life that’s similar to the regular AirPods. They go on sale from October 30th.
